Robert Kapel

Robert is a project lead and designer. In projects, he moves seamlessly between sketching, conceptualisation and implementation, effectively connecting design and execution. By providing clear direction within multidisciplinary teams, he keeps processes focused and manageable at every stage of development. In his designs, he focuses on climate-adaptive and biodiverse urban environments, with a particular emphasis on heat stress, biodiversity and water retention. He enjoys tackling design challenges head-on to create robust and functional landscapes.

Robert has worked on projects including Hoefkwartier Amersfoort, Merwedekanaalzone Utrecht, Houthavens Amsterdam and Highnote Almere.
